It's the merry old silly season and we all usually experience a roller coast of emotions as the 25 December draws near.

Our oils are so great for supporting us physically but they are amazing at supporting us on an emotional level. They have the ability to elevate, invigorate, motivate our mood in a few minutes after inhaling them aromatically or rolling them onto our skin.

I made these three little Holiday Helpers that would be great for a Christmas gift for teachers, neighbours or a loved one who needs some emotional support through the Christmas period.

I've used 5ml roller bottles as they are a nice compact size for keeping in your handbag and the trio fits beautifully in these little fabric bags. I bought mine from Centaur Packaging but I have also seen them in the cheap shops in the craft aisle.

This blend is great for applying just before heading into the shops for last minute gift buying (which will be me!!!) to help us tackle the crowds with a smile instead of irritation and frustration. It's also great for those times that may test us through this busy period - all the activities and events and expectations and commitments can take a toll on us emotionally so the oils in this one can help us to go with the flow and be happy and calm.

Roll on wrists, back of neck, inside elbow creases and inhale as needed.

The recipe is for a 5ml bottle.

  • 2 drops Bergamot
  • 1 drop Cypress
  • 1 drop Ginger
  • 2 drops Peppermint
  • 2 drops Wild Orange

Bergamot | helps to bring feelings of optimism, confidence and hope and just smells so good!

Cypress | the oil of flow and motion helps us to go with the flow and trust everything is working out how it is meant to.

Ginger | the oil of empowerment..this oil will help us feel on purpose, committed and capable as we tick off our to do lists and move through all the commitments and activities we have planned in the lead up to Christmas.

Peppermint | The oil of a buoyant heart is an amazingly invigorating oil that helps us feel happy, uplifted and optimistic.

Wild Orange | allows us to maintain our sense of humor and be joyful, playful and spontaneous.

Sometimes in the midst of the crazy, it's hard to feel cool, calm and collected, especially as we rush from task to task!!! Use this one on wrists and the back of the neck and also on the bottoms of the feet before bed for a restful night's sleep.

  • 2 drops Lavender
  • 1 drops Frankincense
  • 1 drops Balance
  • 2 drops Wild Orange

Lavender |  It's hard to go past this oil to help to help promote feelings of calm and peace. Also a wonderful oil for supporting a restful night's sleep.

Frankincense | Such a versatile oil and one that allows us to feel protected, loved and calm.

Balance | Our grounding blend helps us feel balanced, relaxed and positive

Wild Orange | Both uplifting and calming, I love Wild Orange in so many blends!! Here it works beautifully with the other oils to help promote feelings of calm and peace.

A joyful, cheerful blend for Christmas Day, this one smells delicious. Add to wrists, temples and inhale as needed.

  • 2 drops Citrus Bliss
  • 2 drops Bergamot
  • 2 drops Spearmint

Citrus Bliss | a cherry mix of citrus oils like Wild Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit, Mandarin, tangerine and Bergamot with a hint of vanilla which adds warmth and sweetness. This one helps us feel creative, motivated and spontaneous.

Bergamot | Again, such an uplifting oil that helps bring feelings of joy and happiness.

Spearmint | Is the oil of confident speech but I have chosen this one because it smells so good with the other two oils and is invigorating and uplifting. Also helps you communicate your words - especially good in large, noisy groups where you may feel you aren't often heard!

Again I used Avery glossy white labels and my inkjet printer - are they totally oil/water proof?? No, but they aren't too bad and you could easily add a piece of clear packaging tape over the top of the labels to protect further if you want. I find their label designs and online design program is quite easy to use and easily modified!

Happy rolling!
